The Mason will be responsible for building structures using brick, block, stone, and other masonry materials. This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and adherence to safety standards while working on various project types.
Experience and knowledge of masonry techniques and materials is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Lay brick, block, or stone on horizontal or vertical surfaces without supervision. (Includes basic layout)
May work unsupervised for extended periods of time.
Have the ability to read and understand blueprints.
Possess the skills and knowledge to tool different types of mortar joints.
Assist the foreman in all aspects of his duties, including mentoring and teaching fellow masons and laborers.
Possess a positive attitude toward coworkers and, most importantly, the customer.
Keep the company interests in the forefront when making daily decisions.
Own all necessary hand tools to complete the task at hand efficiently.
Set daily goals that are challenging yet obtainable.
Work on continuous self-improvement while promoting an innovative workplace.
